High or low temperature resistance

Chemical pumps used for transporting high and low temperature media must have sufficient strength and stability in the materials used, whether at site temperature, normal room temperature, or at the temperature of the medium being transported. Another important thing is that all parts used in the pump are subject to thermal shock and the resulting risks of different thermal expansion and cold brittleness.

Wear resistance

The suspended solid particles contained in the high-speed liquid flow transported can cause wear and tear on oil and gas pumps. Once the chemical pump experiences wear and damage, it will exacerbate the corrosion of the medium on the pump. Due to the fact that the corrosion resistance of most metals and alloys is built on the surface passivation film, if there is wear on the passivation film, the nanometals will be in an activated state, and the corrosion situation will worsen.

Reliable operation

The reliability of the operation of oil and gas pumps mainly includes two aspects: first, long-term operation without faults. The second is that various parameters are stable during operation. Reliable operation is crucial for petrochemical production. The fluctuation of pump speed can result in fluctuations in parameters such as flow rate and pump outlet pressure, which can disrupt the normal operation of petrochemical production, affect chemical reactions, and prevent material balance. While causing waste, there is also a possibility of product quality degradation or scrapping.

No leakage or minimal leakage

Most of the liquid media transported by chemical pumps have characteristics such as explosiveness, flammability, and toxicity, and some media even contain radioactive elements. Once these media in the pump leak into the atmosphere, it is likely to cause a fire, affect environmental hygiene, or harm human health. In addition, some media are relatively expensive, and leakage can cause significant economic losses.

Can transport liquids in critical states

When encountering situations of temperature rise or pressure drop, the critical state liquid usually undergoes vaporization. Oil and gas pumps sometimes need to transport critical liquids, and if the liquid vaporizes internally, it can cause cavitation damage. This situation requires chemical pumps to have high anti cavitation performance.

In addition, the vaporization of liquid can cause dry friction between the moving and stationary parts inside the pump, thereby shortening the service life of the pump.
