Centrifugal Pump Chemical Pump

A centrifugal pump is a widely used fluid conveying device that uses centrifugal force generated by a rotating impeller to convey liquid from the suction end to the discharge end. The working principle of centrifugal pumps is based on the action of centrifugal force. When the impeller rotates in the pump body, the liquid is sucked into the inlet of the impeller and flows in the direction of the blades as the impeller rotates. Under the action of the blades, the liquid is affected by centrifugal force, generates a certain pressure, and is thrown out from the outlet of the impeller. At the same time, since the liquid is thrown out, the pressure at the impeller inlet is reduced, forming a certain negative pressure, so that the external liquid is continuously sucked into the impeller inlet, forming a continuous liquid transportation process.

Classification according to conveying medium

1.slurry pump

Slurry pumps are mainly used to transport abrasive media containing solid particles and are widely used in mining, electric power, metallurgy, coal, environmental protection and other industries. Such as slurry transportation in metallurgical dressing plants, hydraulic ash removal in thermal power plants, coal slurry transportation in coal washing plants, river dredging, river desilting, etc.

2.Clean water pump

Clean water pumps are used to transport clean water and other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water. They are suitable for industrial and urban water supply and drainage, pressurized water supply in high-rise buildings, garden sprinkler irrigation, fire pressurization, long-distance transportation, HVAC and refrigeration cycles, and farmland. Hot and cold water circulation boosting and equipment supporting for irrigation, bathrooms, etc.

3.Sewage pump

It is mainly used to transport urban sewage, feces or liquids containing impurities such as fibers, paper scraps and other media. Usually the temperature of the transported media is not greater than 80°C.

Since the transported medium contains fibers that are easily entangled or bunched, the flow channel of this type of pump is easy to be blocked. Once the pump is blocked, the pump will not work properly or even burn the motor, resulting in poor sewage discharge. Therefore, the flow channel of the sewage pump impeller is relatively wider, or a semi-open impeller is used.

4.Chemical pump

It is mainly used to transport clean or contaminated, low or high temperature, chemically neutral or corrosive liquids.

Mainly applicable to: non-ferrous metallurgy, acid and alkali production, chemical and petrochemical industry, synthetic fiber and plastic industry, fertilizer, chemical industry, pharmaceutical, food, sugar industry, environmental protection, general industrial applications.

Performance Parameters

1.Flow: Refers to the volume of liquid passing through the pump body per unit time, usually expressed in cubic meters/hour (m³/h) or liters/second (L/s).

2.Head: Refers to the vertical distance between the highest position where the liquid is pumped and the inlet of the pump body, usually expressed in meters (m).

3.Power: Refers to the energy required by the pump during operation, usually expressed in kilowatts (kW).

4.Efficiency: It refers to the ability of the pump to convert the input mechanical energy into liquid transportation energy during the actual working process, usually expressed as a percentage (%).

5.Speed: Refers to the number of revolutions of the impeller per unit time, usually expressed in revolutions per minute (r/min).
