A chilled water pump is a pump specifically designed to circulate cooling water in a cooling system. Its main function is to extract cooling water from cooling towers, condensers or other water sources, and transport it to the equipment or systems that need cooling through the pipeline system to absorb and take away the heat in the equipment or systems, and then transfer it to the equipment or systems that need to be cooled. The hot water is returned to the cooling tower or condenser for heat dissipation and cooling, forming a complete cooling cycle.
Energy Input
Chilled water pumps are usually powered by an engine or electric motor. Engine-driven water pumps are usually driven by a crankshaft through a belt system, while electric pumps are driven directly by an electric motor
Water pump impeller blades rotate
There is a water pump wheel assembly inside the chilled water pump, which is fixed on the water pump shaft. When the water pump works, the power drives the water pump shaft to rotate, which in turn drives the water pump impeller blades to rotate.
Water inhalation
When the chilled water pump shaft rotates, the blades on the water pump wheel push the surrounding liquid (usually coolant or water), creating a low-pressure area that causes the surrounding liquid to be sucked into the water pump.
liquid circulation
The liquid entering the chilled system will absorb heat and then release the heat to the surrounding environment through radiation or conduction. The cooled liquid then returns to the water pump, restarting the cycle.

This type of pump is suitable for industrial and urban water supply and drainage. It can also be used for agricultural drainage and irrigation and for transporting clean water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water. The temperature is not higher than 80°C.
