The pump have only one impeller, horizontal pump integrates motor and body as a whole, contributing to its appearence. The ISA series Single stage water pump covers a flow rate of 2 to 1100 cubic meters per hour and a head of 2 to 150 meters. One more thing: pumps of the same model can have different performance levels, because the impeller can be trimmed to different diameters. So the same pump can be adjusted to match different working conditions.
The single stage water pump has only four shaft sizes and five bearing housing sizes. Pumps sharing the same bearing housing size can interchange the chief parts - shaft, shaft sleeve, shaft seal, impeller nut, and so on - so you do not need to stock many spare parts. Maintenance is also easy: with the back pull-out design, you pull the rotating part out from the rear, while the casing and the motor stay in place and the piping stays connected.
The materials are flexible too: cast iron casing with bronze impeller is the standard choice for clean water, and stainless steel is available for corrosive liquids.
Both the pump casing and impeller can be made of cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel 304, or stainless steel 316. The shaft is generally also made of steel material. The material selection is usually based on the requirements of the pumped medium. For clean water, cast iron is sufficient. For special working conditions, such as conveying seawater or other liquids with specific acidity or alkalinity requirements, stainless steel is recommended.
