CONTROL OF NON-CONFORMING PRODUCT
10.0General.
10.1 DEPUMP (CHINA) Pump. Policy when non-conforming products are detected, is to ensure that they are prevented from accidental use or installation. Full details of the process to be applied in dealing with a non-conforming product is contained in, the procedure control of non-conforming Product.
Non-conforming product is defined, evaluated, quarantined, documented and an appropriate outcome is determined. The procedure includes non-conforming products/ components being returned t the supplier. Applications to the customer for a concession against the contract and the reporting of major defects. A specific controlled report form will be used in order to define and control the activities associated with non-conforming products. Incidental non-conformance which can be reworked to specification or accepted as being substantially compliant to relevant drawing specification will be recorded and accepted.
Major and Minor non conformance which cannot be reworked to specification, drawings etc. will be recorded using the non-conformance report and submitted to the applicable regulatory / customer authority for disposition of the reported non-conformance. Any repaired or re-worked products will be reinspected in accordance with planned processes to ensure that the product conforms to specification or the customers approved engineering deviation.
10.2 Segregation
10.2.1 to prevent unauthorised use or inadvertent use with conforming items. It s essential that non-conforming products be quarantined where practicable. Non-conforming products will be removed and isolated form the work area and quarantined.
Non- conforming products which cannot be removed will be procedurally isolated and clearly marked as “Quarantined.”
10.3 Disposition:
