1: Remove the mechanical seal:
(1): Remove the cooling water pipe with mechanical seal at both ends.
(2): Take out the pump coupling from the pump shaft, loosen the nut on the bearing body, and then remove the bearing body, bearing, bearing gland, oil ring and other parts in order.
(3): Loosen the nut on the gland of the machine seal, and then remove the gland, static ring, moving ring, and sleeve in order.
2: Assembly mechanical seal:
(1): Check the smoothness and outer diameter of the sleeve at the mechanical seal assembly. When the shaft sleeve is worn seriously or the outer surface is worn too much to meet the sealing requirements, the shaft sleeve should be replaced in time.
(2): Check that the model and specifications of the mechanical seal are correct, and clean up the dirt on the end face of the seal cavity.
(3): Polish the bushing. Make its finish meet the requirements of sealing.
(4): Lubricate the shaft sleeve and mechanical seal (including dynamic and static ring O-rings). Silicone grease, butter, petroleum jelly, etc. can be used.
(5): Put the shaft sleeve, mechanical seal moving ring, and static ring on the shaft in order. Pay attention to the movement during the insertion process to avoid touching the dynamic and static ring contact surfaces. Tighten the set screws on the spring seat of the moving ring to fix the moving ring to the shaft.
(6): Install gland, oil ring, bearing, bearing gland, bearing body and other parts in order, and tighten the fixing bolts.
(7): Install the pump coupling.
3: Matters needing attention during assembly of mechanical seals:
(1): The assembly process should be carried out in a dry, dust-free and clean working environment, keeping the sealed cavity and seals clean. It is not allowed to strike the sealing element with tools to prevent damage and destruction.
(2): When installing the gland of the mechanical seal box, ensure that the shaft centerline is perpendicular to the end face of the dynamic and static ring, and the end face of the gland is vertical.
(3): After assembling the moving ring or static ring assembly, press the compensation ring by hand to check whether it is in place and flexible; elastic split ring [In some mechanical seals, the elastic split ring axially positions the compensation ring. ) Whether the positioning is reliable.
(4): The spring working height must reach the installation height of the product catalog or assembly drawing.
(5): The anti-rotation pin lead of the static ring component must be accurate. When pushing the static ring component, the pin groove of the component must be aligned with the pin. After pushing in place, measure the distance from the end surface of the component to one end of the sealing cavity to determine whether it is installed in place. .
(6): When tightening the end caps, tighten the bolts evenly, symmetrically, and carefully, and tighten them several times. Do not tighten them at one time, so as not to deflect or even crush the static ring.
