The Reason Of Large Flow Of Submersible Pump During Operation

There is a certain relationship between the large current when the pump is running and the adjustment of the pump valve and the mechanical failure of the motor. The main reasons are as follows:

1. Motor guide bearing wear, water pump rubber bearing wear, seal ring wear Motor or water pump bearing wear will make the submersible pump mechanically in an abnormal working state, and will seriously damage the submersible electric pump and burn the stator winding.

The treatment method is to repair or replace damaged bearings and bushings.

2. The flow rate of the submersible pump is too large or too small. If the flow rate is exceeded, the motor will be overloaded:

(1): For centrifugal water pumps or mixed flow water pumps, if the flow rate is too large, the shaft power of the water pump will increase, which will overload the motor;

(2): For axial flow pumps, the flow rate is too small, and the shaft power of the pump increases, which will overload the motor.

The treatment method is to appropriately adjust the valve to reduce the flow rate of the centrifugal pump or mixed flow pump (increase the axial flow pump), so that the flow rate of the pump is within the normal range of use.

3. The submersible pump rotating shaft is bent and the bearings are not concentric. In such a serious situation, it should be repaired immediately, straighten the curved rotating shaft, replace the unqualified bearings, and reassemble the submersible pump.

4. Thrust bearing wear, submersible pump impeller and lower cover plate wear. This situation will also make the submersible pump mechanically in an abnormal working state, and will seriously damage the submersible electric pump.

The treatment method is to check the cause of the thrust bearing wear, whether the mechanical seal of the shaft extension end is damaged, causing sand particles and impurities to enter the motor cavity and cause excessive wear of the thrust bearing.

If it is the cause of the mechanical seal, the mechanical seal at the shaft extension end should be replaced at the same time as repairing or replacing worn parts such as thrust bearings, thrust discs, impellers, lower cover plates, etc.

5. When the submersible pump is running, the large current is related to the type selection. The submersible pump has too large head, and the actual head is small.
