In fact, the selection of slurry pump is not just a simple choice according to the required parameters.
There are many reasons to be considered, such as the characteristics of the conveying medium, the flow head of slurry pump, the power matching of slurry pump and the material of slurry pump, etc., which are all included in the selection range of slurry pump.
1: When selecting a slurry pump, you need to consider the material of the flow components, as follows:
(1) High chromium cast iron wear-resistant material suitable for concentrators with coarse and sharp minerals in slurry;


(2) The ceramic surface coating material has high hardness and good wear resistance, but it is not suitable for the minerals with large particles and too much water chestnut, otherwise it is easy to cause the ceramic surface coating material to break;

(3) The wear-resistant rubber material has good anti-wear performance and elasticity. It has no obstacle to transport coarse particles and angular particles. Its wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant performance is more than 2 times higher than that of metal material.



(4): Polyurethane material
It has a perfect design, low noise, wide hardness range, high impact strength, abrasion resistance, shock absorption, radiation resistance, good breathability, impact resistance,etc.

2. The suitable flow head of slurry pump should be selected according to the actual use
In general, the problem of head of slurry pump is easy to be ignored when users choose slurry pump. Only the delivery flow of the pump is paid attention to.
If the head of the slurry pump is higher than the actual head demand, the power consumption is very large, which brings the owner more capital investment, so the head of the pump should be selected according to the actual head demand. In addition, when calculating the head, attention should be paid to the head loss to avoid that the head is not enough, resulting in low efficiency of the pump.
3. The selection of slurry pump needs to consider whether the pump power matches
The motor power matching of slurry pump is unreasonable, generally there are two situations:
(1) : large motor with small pump
(2) : small motor with large pump,
In particular, there are many phenomena that large motors are equipped with small pumps. If the matching power is selected too much, it is the same reason that the head is too high to increase the power consumption. If the matching power is selected too small, it will lead to insufficient slurry supply or the motor is too small to move the pump. Only when the motor and the pump power are properly matched, can the slurry pump run economically and reasonably.
In addition, the normal operation of the slurry pump also needs to consider its transportation environment, transportation capacity and pump installation conditions.
