Slurry pump is a common machine that increases the energy of solid-liquid mixed media by the action of centrifugal force, and is mainly used in mining, metallurgy, construction and other fields.
As a common practical auxiliary tool, how to solve the problem of unstable flow of slurry pump during use?
The reasons for the unstable flow of the slurry pump and the solutions:
1. The suction pipe or bottom valve is leaking, or the inlet is blocked, which is a common cause of insufficient flow.
Check the air leakage source of the suction pipe and the bottom valve and block it in time, or clean up the sludge or blockage at the water inlet.
2. The voltage is too low to reduce the speed of the slurry pump, resulting in insufficient flow of the slurry pump.
At this time, the power supply voltage should be checked and adjusted in time.
3. Air leakage in the pipeline or air in the pump
At this time, the air in the pipeline can be exhausted in time.
4. Severe wear of the seal ring or impeller can also cause unstable flow of the slurry pump
The sealing rings and impellers with severe wear should be checked and replaced in time.
5. The depth of the bottom valve into the water is insufficient, causing air to enter when pumping
The depth of the bottom valve should be adjusted according to the suction stroke of the slurry pump.
6. If the slurry pump works normally for a period of time, but then the current gradually decreases and the flow rate is obviously insufficient, this problem still occurs after restarting the normal operation for a period of time
Mostly, the slurry or other debris is accumulating in the suction pipe, resulting in cavitation of the slurry pump. When the slurry pump is more serious, there will be a loud noise in the slurry pump and the pump head vibrates obviously
At this time, the front tank and suction pipe should be thoroughly cleaned to reduce the length below the elbow, or the stirring device should be added to reduce the slurry settlement.
